X-mas is gone ...

Christmas and New year's celebrations are over and yet I want to celebrate more ...
Today I am celebrating LIFE! and I intend to do this for the coming 365 days because I feel blessed with my darling Henk: we are both in good health, still in love with eachother, having a beautiful house that we both call HOME! , both have great jobs, we share a zillion memories (joyful ones and sad ones) and we give eachother space to enjoy life our own way!
We have family we love and 'choosen family' (friends) we love dearly. So ... we have SO MUCH to celebrate every day, but ... are we?
It's always the x-mas season that makes me feel blessed in this life and today I spoke to myself (in the mirror) that from now on I am going to hold on to that feeling during 2007 !!!
I remember my Mom saying (around mothers'day) :"Girl, I rather want you to think of me every day except on mother's day, then remember me only that day!"
This saying is so true, that I turn it into my blessed feeling:
"I am going to treasure my blessed feeling during the hole year except for 1 day and I don't know when or if that day will come! ... "

Wishing all my family and friends that their wishes come true (hey... don't 'overwish' ) !!

Luv ya'll !!!

Tree is UP

YES... we did it... it's up and bringing JOY into our livingroom!

All our vacation memories are in there. As I told you already from every vacation we take a christmas ornament home (instead of all the rubbish they call souvernirs...).

From Las Vegas: From Sydney:

So our tree is filled with all kinds of ornaments (treasures). Every year it takes us a long time to decorate the tree because with unpacking every treasure, our minds go back to a wonderful time in our lives. I can tell you: we have A LOT of them..... and it makes us grateful. We laugh a lot!!
I also have two ornaments which are a memorie to my Mom and Grandmom (Opoe) they always make me smile ...

Tonight is my last workshop for this year, we are going to make a paperbag-book with Basic Grey.
I baked Brownies (thanks to Florence who made me a addict to brownies during our alliance weekend) for the girls tonight, still have to put the icing on... yummie!

X-mas greetings

Oh boy, every day my doormat is full with X-mas cards and do I like it: YES!!!!
So many people who want to wish us well for the christmas season and the coming year...

Like these 4 from Canada:

Carter Knox, 6 years

Spencer Knox, 4 years

Two boys who are the pride of their mom and dad. Mom (Leanne) and Dad (Steven) are related to us through their mom (Coreen), who is my sister and she is married to my favourite brother in law Sjoerd (George). They all live in Dundas-Ont-.

Katelyn, 2,5 years
Drew, 9 months
These two are the pride of their mom (Tracy)and dad (Kevin) who are also related to us trough their 'OMA' and 'OPA'.
They live in St.George -Ont- and are one happy family too!
Great to have relatives overseas because you always have a destination for a vacation!!! hahaha ! My sister and brother in law emigrate in 1968 to Canada and since then I visited them regularly, sometimes for 4 weeks and a few visits for only a few days. It is always great to see them. Last time we saw eachother was in spring 2005 in Canada and the year before they came to Holland to join us in our 25 anniversary weekend, which was great fun!

These pictures I will scrap later(I'll show them when they're ready) because I have so much to do for X-mas .... who doesn't???

I'll be back later this week. In the mean time TAKE CARE!

Busy week !

Oh boy ... I've been busy this week with Creatief met foto's. Two articles in the next issue so busy with photshoots, creating LO's and 'componing' text, but is was worth the afford. Both articles are ready. When the magazine is ready I'll show you what I made (beginning of Feb'07). Now it's saturday afternoon and finally i make time to write my blog...

Last week we spend a day at the beach ans made some pictures with my new Canon 400D. Oh man ... I am SO happy with it. Even my DH likes to make pictures with thisone (and did a good job).

It was a windy day and we had some little rain but it was nice to let the wind blow trough our minds (and hair). We started with lunch at Grand-Café Westewind : delicious Club-sandwich with smoked salmon and a good cup of Cappuccino!

We walked for several hours along the beach and boulevard of Scheveningen.

We also visited harbour 1 en saw some big ships.

The Greenpeace Artic Sunrise was there to get some painting done. In 'het Haringhuisje' we picked up some haring and a 'zure bom' yammie!

Around 5 pm it was dark and we walked back to the boulevard and sat down for 'pannenkoeken' again: yammie!

Then we drove to my SIS Jenny and her hubby and had a great night talking, just the four of us! We don't do that often and now we promissed eachother to do this on a regular base (Jan when are you calling ???)

I love these people although we are not bonded by blood but we feel more family then if we were! Already looking forward to X-mas when we spend a day together with their hole family (16 in total) !!

Tomorrow we are going to a play called: JOKE. This play is based on a true story, by a policeman's wife. It seems to be a tragic play but I will tell you my experiences when I saw it.

Tomorrow will also be the day that we are going to re-arrange our home into Dickinson's with all our X-mas stuff. It will be nice to hang the ornaments in our tree. We collected a lot of our ornaments on our many trips around the world. This year will be new in our tree: Kangaroo from Australia!!

Next time I'll show some of our ornaments....yehhh even Elton John is there all the way from Las Vegas!!!

Wish you all a great weekend!

Take care!

yammie !

Ohhhhhh, I tried the CriCut today!!! Don't try this too, you'll be hooked I tell you! It is an amazing machine that has a lot (and I mean A LOT) to offer. (No, I am not sponsored for this ...)

So next thing I have to do = organise a meating between Sinterklaas and Santa Claus so they can split the costs and give me this 'musthave'! Anybody ever tried to get these two people together because I don't know where (how) to start... :-)

As soon I have some used on a LO I'll show you! Have to go now, tonight I am visiting friends and tomorrow we will be having company by Cora and Bert (29 years of friendship). I'll have a great weekend!

Take care!
